Winter Wonderland Gala

Cambie’s Winter Wonderland Gala (formerly called the Winter Formal) is a wonderful opportunity for grade 11 and 12 students to enjoy an evening of celebration and fun at the Riverside Banquet Hall. The cost of the event is $95 and includes a buffet dinner, beverages and dancing (DJ and private security provided). Dress is semi-formal. Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the event. Event doors open at 6:00pm (closes at 6:30pm) and finishes at 10:00 pm sharp!

If you plan to attend, please pay the fee (and submit the permission form) by 1:30pm on Tuesday, November 12th. Permission forms must be signed by a parent/guardian and turned in to the office by the deadline.

There is a “request to invite guest” application if any students wish to bring a guest. Guests must be currently enrolled in Grade 11 or 12 at a Richmond secondary school AND be recommended by a school administrator at their school. Guest application forms may be picked up from the office or ticket table and must be returned by the deadline (early submission is encouraged). Note that payment for a guest should NOT be made until the application has been approved.  Should you wish to attend but financial hardship will make it difficult to make full payment by the deadline, please contact Ms. Hui to discuss.

Note the following Information:

  1. The Winter Wonderland Gala is for all Cambie grade 11 & 12 students.
  2. No tickets will be sold at the door. The cost of the event is $95.
  3. Permission form and guest applications will be available at the ticket table, as well as in the office. You may also download it (see attachments) and print out.
  4. There will be security at the door and within the event - all bags will be searched. Coat racks are available at the door.
  5. School staff will be in attendance.
  6. Doors will open at 6:00pm. 
  7. Doors close at 6:30pm - NO late entry unless permission has been obtained from administration PRIOR to the event. 
  8. Dinner is served at 6:45pm. Dancing after dinner.
  9. There are no in/out privileges. If you leave the event for any reason, you will not be re-admitted.
  10. This is a school-sponsored event and all school and district policies will be in effect. See below for the District Code of Conduct.
