Well-being
Using data from the district Re-Imagining Secondary survey, our initial scanning was to help us get to know the students’ feelings and thoughts about the quarter system (to date in the Fall). We were also curious about the wellness and well-being of the people in our community during this pandemic. Generally speaking, we were acutely aware that there has been an increase in some mental health concerns as a result of the pandemic and how this affects people. Our Cambie RIS team’s focus became well-being and our inquiry question was: How is the pandemic and the resulting quarter system affecting the overall, social and physical well-being of students in our Cambie School community? So, we then complementing the district RIS survey with a school-based (Cambie) well-being survey, truly kickstarting our team travels into a spiral of inquiry journey.
