Good Morning Cambie! The ICY Peer Support group Draw 4 Fun is back! Wednesdays at lunch. Come drop by to grab a snack, beverage and go. Or stay, chill and do some art or just chill. Participation is not mandatory. It is just a place to come hang out at your own leisure and talk to your peers or your school Peer Support Workers. Learn about Peer Student. Everyone is welcome!!

The Hamilton Community Association Youth Award is now open for applications for students who live in the Hamilton community. This $1,000 scholarship recognizes students who have demonstrated strong academic effort, leadership, and meaningful involvement in their school or the Hamilton community. The application deadline is March 15, 2026. For more details, please see the Career Advisor.

Hey Cambie! Grad Council is doing a Krispy Kreme Fundraiser to support the grade class! You can pre-order a dozen for $15 on School Cash Online until January 30th. Pick up will be on February 6th where we’ll also have singles for $2.50 and extra dozens for $15 available to buy on the day. These sell out fast and aren’t guaranteed, so pre-order online to secure your box!

Attention Semester 1 Art students!  It's time to pick up your work!  Ms. Chien's and Ms. Foster's students can now stop by B121 to collect your amazing artworks.  Work not claimed by Wed, Feb 4th will be recycled.  Don't let your CREATIVITY end up as TOILET PAPER - collect your work today!  Please see Ms. Foster with any questions.

For all grade 10 and 11 students and families, the district Career Programs Office is hosting several information sessions for our post-secondary dual credit programs.  These will be held in the evening on Zoom or Teams starting this week.  Meet the post-secondary instructors too.  Access codes for these dual credit sessions were emailed to you and your family last week.  Check your spam.  Info nights will cover programs in:

  • Biomedical and Health Science
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Trades Training
  • Medical Lab Assistant and Health Care Assistant ...

...and our district Manufacturing & Engineering co-op program. The poster with passcodes is also on the Career Programs slat board in or near the counselling office.  Hope you can make it!

“If music be the food of love, play on!” Cambie Theatre presents Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. Love! Disguise! Mistaken identity! Our production runs from January 26th to 30th at 7pm. Tickets are on sale in the rotunda at lunch for only $10. Most wonderful!

The Pascal, Cayley, and Fermat Math contests from the University of Waterloo will be happening soon. These competitions are a great chance to test out your mathematical skills and see things from a new perspective. Students in grades 8-11 who are interested in participating should talk to their math teacher or see Mr Hamm in C201 to sign up by the end of January.

Hey Coyotes! Do you enjoy exploring fun, intriguing and current topics? Do you want experience in public speaking skills, making arguments and claims with evidence, and engaging in competitions with schools across the district? Cambie Debate would love to have you! At Cambie Debate, members can learn and master these skills through the Canadian National Debate Format, among other styles you can learn all about. Meetings are every Wednesday at lunch in room B214. No experience necessary! See you there, Coyotes!
