Student Announcements - May 6, 2025
We would like to begin by acknowledging and thanking the First Peoples of the Hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ language groups on whose traditional and unceded territories we teach, learn and live.
Its mental health awareness week, this year's theme from the Canadian mental health association is Unmasking Mental Health. Masking is hiding or suppressing something about ourselves — emotions, personality traits, behaviours, or symptoms — from others. It’s a coping mechanism used to stay safe, hide in plain sight or “fit in,” and we may even do it without being aware of it. Remember open and honest conversations connect us all.
In celebration of Mental Health Awareness Week we will have many of our community partners joining us for our annual Well Being Fair in the rotunda between 11:15 -1:30 on Friday, May 9. The fair will be open to all students during break and lunch. Teachers remember to sign up your classes to visit the fair during A block (period 3).
