Student Notices - May 2, 2024

We would like to begin by acknowledging and thanking the First Peoples of the Hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ language groups on whose traditional and unceded territories we teach, learn and live.

Attention all grade 12 students, if you wish to be considered for a Service Award, Volunteer Hours Tracking Form must be submitted to the Office by Thursday May 16, 2024.

Any students who need help creating an account with Richmond Continuing Education or signing up for full credit summer school, Ms. Wilding will be available to help in the rotunda during lunch on Thursday May 2nd.

You will need an account in order to register for the courses you want to take. We highly recommend creating an account in advance of the registration opening as seats fill up quickly.

Also a friendly reminder that registration for grade 12 opens on May 6, grade 11 on May 7, grade 10 on May 8.

Ms Koo will be here next week (May 6 -10) on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month! Your own Cambie Mental Health Promotion Club will be hosting a couple of events this month! Our theme is A Call to be Kind. Being kind to self and to others are both very important to our mental health. If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion. Because compassion connects us all.

On Tuesday, May 7th, several associations promoting the improvement of mental health will have booths set up in the rotunda! Feel free to take time to head down and take a look and maybe win some prizes!

Rabbitat will also be joining us. Please note, it is NOT a petting zoo. Picking up of rabbits will not be allowed, and petting only if the animal invites it. You will be offering them healthy treats, and they will decide when they are comfortable interacting.

Biking is another way to be active moving forward to physical health and mental health! Mr. Lee, our lovely librarian, will also be offering drop-in bike tune-ups! Bring your bike if you would like to let him take a look, and then you can start getting active for your mental health!
