We would like to begin by acknowledging and thanking the First Peoples of the Hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ language groups on whose traditional and unceded territories we teach, learn and live.

 

Huge Congratulations to the Cambie cheer team for coming in third at the International Mardi Parti cheer competition. The best of luck to the Cambie cheer team at the BC champions competition on March 9th.

 

Congratulations to the Cambie Jazz Band for their outstanding performance at the International Envisions Festival this past weekend. This was a non comparative festival. Congratulations to Christine Javier and Alex Mejia for their participation in the Junior/Senior Rep Band performance on Friday evening showcase!

 

Attention Art Club! We will be having a meeting on Thursday PLT, 9am in room B121 to say goodbye winter and hello to spring! Be there or be square.

 

Any boys in grade 8 interested in playing volleyball this year, there will be an open gym TODAY and TOMORROW at 3:00pm. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Meier.

 

A reminder to anyone interested in playing badminton this year, that there will be tryouts on Wednesday, and Thursday this week at 5:00. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Meier.

 

On Wednesday Feb 28, it’s ACT Day! ACT Day, also known as Pink Shirt Day, consists of acceptance, community, and tolerance. What is Acceptance? Acceptance is recognizing and acknowledging a situation without trying to change it. We can show it by being open-minded and non-judgmental. It's great for reducing stress, improving relationships, and fostering personal growth. Let’s show acceptance on ACT Day, Cambie! Be sure to wear a pink shirt!

On Thursday, February 29th during PLT, a professional photographer will be at the school to take a group class photo of our Grade 8 and Grade 12 students that will be featured in this year's yearbook. All Grade 8 students are to meet in the Rotunda at 9:00 am, and Grade 12 students in the Rotunda at 9:25 am. Do not be late - the photographer will not wait for latecomers to take the class photo! 

 

Attention all students! We're thrilled to announce the launch of our new community fridge right in the rotunda. This fridge will provide, fresh, free and healthy foods for our community. Food will be available before class, break and lunch. Let's also remember to be respectful of the fridge and its contents. Please avoid wasting food, and keep it clean. Together, we can make a difference in supporting one another's well-being. Thank you for your cooperation and let's make this community fridge a success! If you have any suggestion to the community fridge, please come see any of our administrators or counsellors.
