Hey Cambie. Remember even though the official Mental Wellness Week is ending today your mental health matters and it is something that you can monitor just like your physical health. Another tip to improve your mental wellness is try to incorporate some movement into your daily routine - something easy such as taking a walk. If you can do this outside, in nature, that is a bonus! Moving helps your mind and your body.
Healthy thinking is also something to keep on top of, when you start to worry about something in the future and begin with the "what-if" spiral, remember that 85% of what we worry about never happens, and for the other 15%, we learn something valuable! Ask yourself, what if everything goes right?
In the next 5 minutes your teachers will be handing out a quick survey to take your emotional temperature. Part of maintaining strong mental health is monitoring how you are feeling and functioning, and knowing when to make changes. Please share with us how things are going so far this school year by completing the handout and returning to your current teacher.
