1. Schulich Leader Scholarship

Schulich Leader Scholarships are entrance scholarships awarded to high school graduates enrolling in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) programs at one of the 20 Canadian partner universities: https://schulichleaders.com/universities/.
$120,000 scholarships are designated for students pursuing an engineering degree, and $100,000 scholarships are designated for students pursing a science, technology, or math degree.
Eligibility Criteria
• Graduate from high school in the 2023/2024 academic year
• Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
• Be entrepreneurial-minded and plan to enroll in STEM at one of the partner universities
• Meet the following criteria:
◦ Academic excellence AND
Leadership charisma and creativity
◦ Strong consideration will be given to students with financial need
• Not intending to become a practicing physician and/or medical researcher (e.g. Doctor, Dentist, Nurse, Psychologist, Pharmacist, Optometrist, etc. School submits their nominee:

2. CMolik Foundation Scholarships

Are you a student graduating from a BC high school? Have you demonstrated a strong work ethic and tenacity in overcoming adversity and in achieving your goals? If so, we’d love to hear from you! Every year, 20 scholarships are awarded each with a maximum value of $45,000, paid over five years, to deserving students.
Eligibility criteria:
Be a current resident of BC
Have lived in Canada for at least 7 years
Be in Grade 12 or a recent secondary school graduate
Have demonstrated financial need
Have faced adversity
Plan to be a full-time student
Be ineligible for the BC Tuition Waiver Program (for former youth in care)
Use funding for a post-secondary institution or college
Be endorsed by their school principal

3. BC Excellence Scholarship

Each school can only nominate one grade 12 student.

The BC Excellence scholarship is awarded to 55 well-rounded high school graduates who have demonstrated service and leadership, both at school and in their communities. Recipients receive a $5,000 scholarship voucher that they can redeem with the Ministry of Education after they are attending a designated post-secondary institution or B.C. authorized trades training provider.
Students must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- be eligible for a B.C. Certificate of Graduation (Dogwood Diploma)
- fulfill the requirements of the B.C. Graduation Program
- be graduating in the same year the scholarship is awarded; and have the following final marks:
- Minimum “B" average in grades 11 and 12 courses required for graduation.
- Minimum "B" (73% or above) in English or English First Peoples 12.
- Minimum “B" average, no more than one "C+" (67% or above), and no marks lower than “C+" in courses that fulfill graduation requirements for Science 11 or 12, Math 11, and Social Studies 11 or 12.
Note: students may apply for both the BC Excellence scholarship and the Pathway to Teacher Education scholarship, but they can only be awarded one. The Pathway to Teacher Education scholarship DOES NOT require a nomination.
To complete your application for the BC Excellence Scholarship, the nominated student must attach a digital copy of the signed nomination form provided by their school. The form can be found at the beginning of the BC Excellence Scholarship application.

1. University of Toronto Book Award IN SCHOOL DEADLINE

- A School Nomination is required for this award. Students must complete the in-school nomination form (See to be considered.)
- The University of Toronto National Book Award Program recognizes and rewards the very best Canadian secondary school students, regardless of which university those students choose to attend. Every school across Canada is invited to nominate one (1) student on the basis of the qualities and criteria identified below. Students nominated for this award are also encouraged to submit an application to the National Scholarship Program.
CRITERIA
- National Book Award recipients are students who demonstrate superior academic performance, original and creative thought, and exceptional achievement in a broad context.
- They excel in academic pursuits, demonstrate enthusiasm for intellectual exploration and have a strong involvement in the lives of their schools and communities.
- The nominee must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person, intending to begin university study in September 2025.
- Award recipients receive a National Book Award recognizing their achievements, and as a symbol of their academic potential. It is a non-monetary award, but it is a highly valued award in the post-secondary community. It is an actual book, which includes a personalized inscription. The National Book Award will be sent to your school in April, for presentation to you at your secondary school graduation ceremony at the end of the school year.

2. Lester B. Pearson University of Toronto Scholarship International Students ONLY - SEPT 27, 2024 IN SCHOOL DEADLINE

CRITERIA
- The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship at the University of Toronto provides an unparalleled opportunity for outstanding international students to study at one of the worlds’ top universities.
- The scholarship is intended to recognize students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and creativity and who are recognized as leaders within their respective schools.
- A special emphasis is placed on the impact the student has had on life at their school and community, and their future potential to contribute to a global community.
- Awarded annually, these scholarships are given to students aboard and international students studying at Canadian high schools. There are a number of scholarships to be awarded to outstanding international students who have demonstrated exceptional academics, leadership, creativity and are leaders in their school. This competitive scholarship will cover tuition, books, incidental fees, and full residence support for four years. The scholarship is tenable only at the University of Toronto for first-entry, undergraduate programs.
- Students are asked to contact their Counselling Department for more information well before September 27/24.
- Students should have applied to their U of T program of study by October 18/24 via OUAC. Once the application for nomination has been approved by the school, that student then completes the Lester B. Pearson application and submits it to U of T by November 8/24.

3. The UBC International Scholars Program- DEADLINE TO APPLY NOV 15, 2024 @ 3:00PM

CRITERIA
- Award applicants must also complete their UBC admissions application by 11:59 PM PST December 1, 2024.
- There are four categories both need and-merit-based awards available through UBC’s International Scholars Program.
- When a student is nominated for the International Scholars Program, the UBC team will determine which award(s) you are eligible for, based on the information provided in your application.
- To be considered for this scholarship you need to first complete your school’s application form contact your school counsellor for more information before November 1, 2024

5. Western University National Scholarship Program

National Scholarships are designed to recognize all-round excellence. They are awarded on the basis of outstanding academic performance to candidates who demonstrate ability for creative and innovative thought and a passion for the pursuit of learning. National Scholarships also recognize exceptional achievement in extracurricular activities such as the arts and athletics. A special emphasis is placed on a candidate's commitment to community service through ongoing contributions to school and community life.
Ensure that you have submitted your application for admission to the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC) indicating Western's main campus as one of your choices. The National Scholarship Application is an on-line application. In order to access the on-line National Scholarship application the OUAC reference number is required. The online National Scholarship application and all supporting documentation must be submitted by the February 14, 2024 deadline. If supporting documentation is mailed, it must be received, not postmarked, at Western by the February 14, 2024 deadline.
School Nomination:
In order to be considered for the National Scholarship program a school nomination is required.
Each school is able to nominate up to 4 students for the National Scholarship Program (note: a school can nominate 1 additional student (in addition to the 4) if that student is an international (visa) student). Schools are not nominating students for a specific scholarship. The nomination is for the student to be considered for the scholarships available within the National Scholarship Program.
The application includes a section titled 'Nomination Request Form'. The student must complete this section and their request for nomination will be sent out. You will be asked to enter the School Administrator's email address. An email with a request along with instructions will be sent out to this email address. The request sent out will include student's request for a nomination and the request for a transcript.
With the exception of the International President’s Entrance Scholarships and the President's Entrance Scholarship for Black Students, National Scholarship applicants must be Canadian Citizens or a Permanent Resident of Canada. All applicants must have obtained a minimum overall academic average of 90% on all Grade 12U/M courses (or equivalent). National Scholarships are available only at Western's main campus and Faculty Entrance Scholarships are available only within the faculty for which the scholarship has been awarded. You must make an admission application to Western University (main campus) to be considered for these scholarships and you must register as a full-time student. International Baccalaureate and CEGEP students are eligible for consideration. The Beryl Ivey Continuing Entrance Scholarship has a financial need component. A supplemental application in addition to the National Scholarship application is required for students to be considered.
