Student Notices Dec. 11, 2023

We would like to begin by acknowledging and thanking the First Peoples of the Hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ language groups on whose traditional and unceded territories we teach, learn and live.

Goooood morning Cambie! You have one week left to donate to the SOCK WARS campaign! With the crazy weather we’ve been having, can you imagine having wet feet all day or hands that never quite get warm at night? Our donations go directly to programs that help keep hands warm, and feet dry. Thank you for all your donations so far, let’s keep it up!

The Cambie Dry After Grad is having a bottle drive starting Dec 10 to Jan 12. They are accepting all bottles that can be recycled (including juice and plastic containers). Donations can be left just inside the main entrance. Please support the Cambie grads!!

Bundle up Cambie! On Thursday, Dec 14, Ecosavers will be providing FREE hot chocolate! Be sure to wear a sweater and bring a reusable container to get yourself a hot steamy cup of hot choco.

Cambie, are you ready? Today is the day, the much anticipated boys basketball home opener. Come on out to cheer on our grade 8 boys basketball team at 3:30, followed by the grade 9 boys basketball team at 5:00. The culminating game, the senior boys home opener will tip off some time between 6:30 and 7:00. How loud can you be? Make some noise tonight in support of the teams!

Hello students and staff! Our annual Winter Spirit Week is coming and our DOOR DECORATING CONTEST IS BACK! As a class, decorate your C block Teacher's classroom door after school, at PLT, or at lunch. The class with the best designed door wins a DONUT PARTY. In addition! The class with the FUNNIEST door ALSO wins a donut party! Voting will take place on December 21st during FrostBite Feast by us AND grade 7 students. We can't wait to see what you come up with!

Hey seniors! Time is running out to get your tickets to Winter Formal. The deadline to purchase tickets is THIS FRIDAY, so secure your spot early for a winter celebration you won’t want to miss. Grade 11s and 12s are welcome to attend, and you can bring guests from other Richmond schools. Tickets are $80 and can be purchased in the rotunda at lunch or on School Cash Online. See you on the dance floor!

Would the following students please report to the office at break: Harjan Randhawa, Zeck Sison, Jacob Villar.

It seems a number of students are making their way to the newly opened Tim Hortons during break and lunchtime. Currently, the only safe crossing nearby to the other side of the road is at Jacombs and Cambie Road. A temporary pedestrian crosswalk will be installed shortly in front of the Tim Hortons, but in the meantime, use the Cambie Road intersection to cross the road to get to Tim Hortons. Please do not jaywalk and put your safety at risk!!
