Cambie Library Learning Commons is a busy, active learning centre which offers curriculum-oriented non-fiction materials, reference books, and encyclopedias as well as a wide array of fiction titles and magazines. DVDs are also available for classroom use. The collection, with its range of reading levels, is designed to meet the needs of staff and students doing research projects, independent study and recreational reading. Internet access is provided for students doing school-related research and our catalogue is online and can be accessed at home. Be sure to check out the resource area, where you will find brochures on writing citations, researching topics, and note-taking sheets (among others). Try out our professional green screen room, share ideas at our collaboration tables, draw on our whiteboard walls, and let your imagination soar with our 3-D printer. Assistance is always available to students who need help locating materials that will meet their individual needs.

Come to the front counter and we will help you check out materials.

Books can be checked out for two (2) weeks. They can be renewed if no holds are placed on them.

Magazines are due in one (1) week.

Reference Materials are due the next day.

The library sends out email reminders for overdue books and/or library materials. 

Please keep track of the due date stamped at the back of your book. No new library books can be taken out unless all overdue books are returned to the library.

If your document is in Google docs format, you must download it first. 

How to download a document for printing:

• Select "Download as" under the File menu.
• Select Microsoft Word document.
• Click "open" on the window appearing at the bottom of the screen.

Once the document is opened as MS Word, then you can print using the File menu.
