Student Announcements - March 9, 2026

We would like to begin by acknowledging and thanking the First Peoples of the Hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ language groups on whose traditional and unceded territories we teach, learn and live.

Any girls interested in playing soccer this year, the final tryout will be held today after school on the turf field.

Any girls interested in trying out rugby, we will have a practice today, 3:15 on the rugby pitch, beside the turf. If you have any questions at all, please see Mr. Meier.

There is a grade 8 boys volleyball practice today after-school at 3:00pm.  All boys in grade 8 who are interested in playing volleyball this spring are encouraged to come out.  If you have any questions, please see Ms. Alblas.

Anyone interested in participating in Track and Field this year, please see one of Ms. Bains, Mr. Meier, Ms. Alblas, or Mr. Wallace to register. Athletes are allowed to participate in up to three individual events, and two relays. We hope to have a large group of Cambie Athletes out participating this year.

Good morning Cambie! Did you know yesterday was International Women’s Day? To celebrate, visit the We for She booth at lunch and make a card for all the amazing women in your life! We’re also hosting a bouquet hunt around the school! Here’s your hint: “Take a break from the busy hall, Look near the posters that plan it all.” If you find the bouquet, take a picture, post it on your Instagram story, and tag We for She! 

Hey Coyotes! Just a reminder that the Spring Fling dance is tomorrow! Make sure you’ve got your ticket, and get ready for a night full of music, dancing, and great memories. We can’t wait to see you all there!

Good Morning Cambie! You’re starting spirit week off strong with Adam Sandler Day. We love all the baggy clothes you guys are wearing! Tomorrow is Tacky Tourist Day and Spring Fling and we are so excited to see what you have in store!

Spring Break is almost here, Cambie! Celebrate the last day of school with pizza! Grad Council is hosting a pizza sale this Friday, March 13th at lunch. Grab a slice for just $3, or level up with our two slice and a drink combo for $6.50. See you there!

RCMP applications are now open! Kits are available in the folder pinned to the Career Centre bulletin board.Please note that seats are limited and fill up quickly. Submit your application as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please contact your Career Advisor, Ms. Tang.

1 .The School Board covers your tuition for the KPU Business Dual Credit Program! The application deadline has been extended to Tuesday, April 21st,please see Career Advisor for more information.

2. Manufacturing and Engineering Co-op (MEC) Program The application deadline is March 10th. If you are interested, please see Ms. Tang for more details.

3. Richmond Firefighters Community Bursary This bursary offers $1,000 to a richmond high school graduating  student. The application deadline is March 12th. For more scholarships and awards available to Grade 12s, please visit the McRoberts Career Centre website. If you have any questions, please see our Career Advisor, Ms. Tang.
