Student Notices - May 21, 2024

We would like to begin by acknowledging and thanking the First Peoples of the Hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ language groups on whose traditional and unceded territories we teach, learn and live.

Attention all students! Student Council elections are here and we want YOU to help decide who will lead StuCo next year. Voting will take place tomorrow (Wednesday, May 22nd) during Block B. Check out the StuCo Instagram page or scan the QR code on one of the yellow posters around the school to get informed about the candidates.

Anyone interested in helping out at the Elementary Track Meet on May 27th, please see Mr. Meier to pick up a permission form. We need to send at least 20 volunteers.

Hey Everybody! To continue Mental Health Awareness Month, the Mental Health Promotion Club will be hosting another event called Move In May! Taking care of your physical health is just as important as taking care of your mental health. With Move in May, you’ll be able to do both! During lunches on May 21 and 23, there will be fun activities happening in the rotunda. Come by and play for a chance to win more Tim Horton’s gift cards.

Attention Grads. Valedictory Guest Tickets are NOW AVAILABLE. Tickets are $10.00 each. Extra tickets can be purchased on School Cash online or you can bring in cash or cheque to Ms. Ng in the office. First Come First Served! You will need the physical tickets to gain entry into the Chan Centre. Please note that each grade 12 student participating in the Valedictory ceremony will be receiving 2 complimentary guest tickets that will be distributed at the rehearsal on June 13. Please only purchase extra guest tickets if you require additional tickets.

To all current Grades 10/11 students, the Manufacturing & Engineering Co-op is currently accepting applications. For those interested in studying engineering after high school, this opportunity offers invaluable practical volunteer work experience that will make you stand out.
