Student Notices - Apr. 18, 2024

We would like to begin by acknowledging and thanking the First Peoples of the Hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ language groups on whose traditional and unceded territories we teach, learn and live.

 

There is a mandatory AP exam meeting on Friday, April 19 afterschool in the library for all students who signed up to write the AP exam in May.  Attendance is mandatory.

 

A reminder to any students who may be interested in playing volleyball for intramurals, to please get your sign-up forms in to Mr. Meier by tomorrow.

 

Attention all Cambie Track and field athletes, there is an important meeting today at break/recess in the gym area to pick up a Cambie Track and Field shirt that you are to wear as your uniform when you are competing.

 

Attention Pathways 8, 9 and 10! Our annual digital detox will be happening TOMORROW, so hand in your cellphones in Ms. Sanders’s room A211 in the morning at 8 to 8:30. Make sure to bring your sleeping bags and all your appropriate toiletries to stay overnight in the gym. You can leave all your belongings in the blue room in upper A wing, A208. We will be playing games, eating dinner, and watching a movie together. Please come down to the rotunda at 3:30 tomorrow and we will begin our amazing adventure for the rest of the day from there. You will be dismissed at 8 am in the morning the next day, so make sure to notify your parents to pick you up then. Feel free to reach out to any Pathways 10 students or @cambiepathways on Instagram for any questions or concerns! And that’s all Pathways! Stay excited!!

 

The Cambie Ecosavers will be hosting their annual Earth Week Event next week from April 22 to April 26. Come by in the rotunda to participate in environmental-friendly activities and potentially win some prizes too!

 

Hey coyotes! The Debate Club is hosting a pizza sale in the rotunda during lunch today! Only $2.50 per slice!  Don't miss out!

 

The library will soon be offering a Games Club and Mural Collage Festival. Stay tuned for further updates!!

 

Full credit summer school registration begins at the beginning of May, in order to register for these classes, you need to set up an account with Richmond Continuing Education. Please visit the Cambie school website for links to summer school registration and a list of courses offered. Please see your counsellor if you have any questions.

 

Here’s an announcement from the Cambie Community Centre: Are you a Queer youth or Ally looking for a fun and supportive place to hangout with your friends? Maybe meet new people? Or do fun activities? Every Thursday from 3:30 – 5:30 at the Cambie Community Centre feel welcome to attend PAINT a free-drop in program aimed for you to build community with other queer youth and allies in Richmond!
