Cambie Parent Advisory Council (PAC)

What is a Parent Advisory Council?

We are a non-profit Advisory Council, which fosters a sense of citizenship and student well-being within Cambie school.  By supporting, listening, nurturing, and advising, the PAC acts as a liaison between the students, their families and the school.  The PAC plans and organizes social and sports events. We support our teachers who require extra funds for field trips or extra learning materials, offer scholarships and host the grade 7 dinner, teacher appreciation luncheon, and dry after grad to name a few.

What is the Purpose of PAC?

  • To act as a liaison in developing and understanding the rights of parents within the educational system.
  • To provide a voice to advise the principal and staff of parent’s views on any matter relating to the school.
  • To promote and enhance school spirit and enrichment of the student’s physical, intellectual, and social experiences by organizing special events and fundraising activities in support of the school, the parents and PAC goals.
  • To communicate with parents and encourage parental involvement in curricular and financial decisions, where appropriate within the school.
