We would like to begin by acknowledging and thanking the First Peoples of the Hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ language groups on whose traditional and unceded territories we teach, learn and live.

 

A reminder that the Yearbook Grade Votes will happen in the rotunda today. Today will be the last day, so get your votes in! Bring a phone to scan the QR code!

 

Attention to all those interested in applying for a student council executive position next year! Our shadowing program is starting soon. This mandatory program will ensure you have the skills to run in the upcoming election! To sign up visit @cambiestuco on Instagram or check out the QR codes pasted around the school. The final day to sign up is April 28th and you cannot participate in the election without participation in the shadowing program! If you are interested, apply to the student council shadowing program by Sunday, April 28th!

 

Attention Grads. This is a reminder that the Dinner/Dance and Dry Grad fees are due next Tuesday, Apr 30. We need to have 100 students to participate in order to make these events happen, and we have only 38 payments so far. Please pay as soon as possible so that we can plan accordingly. You can do so through SchoolCashOnline or pay cash/cheque to Ms. Ng in the office. Thank you.

 

There is an international meeting at lunch in the library today.

 

Attention all grade 12 students, if you wish to be considered for a Service Award, Volunteer Hours Tracking Form must be submitted to the Office by Thursday May 16, 2024.

 

The Cambie Ecosavers is hosting their annual Earth Week Event this week from April 22 to April 26. Today is the Toss and Sort day! Come try the game and earn some prizes! There will also be the smoothie bike ride available! For Friday, the Ecosavers are hosting their annual Plant-A-Plant day, where you can bring home your own plant! Come by the rotunda during lunch to participate!

 

Games & Arts Club starts April 30th in the Library during PLT! Come enjoy some snack and new modern board games, crocheting or art activities!!

 

The Library is starting a Mural Collage in the library. If you’d like to take part, showcase your art or message on the library windows, come see Mr. Lee in the library!

 

Please note that Full Credit in person summer school course registration for students in grade 10-12 opens between May 6-8.

  • Grade 12 courses open on May 6 @ 7 pm
  • Grade 11 courses open on May 7 @ 7 pm
  • Grade 10 courses open on May 8 @ 7 pm

Course offerings are posted in the counselling centre or see your counsellor to discuss the best course for your program. Students who are interested in taking these courses must create an account in order to register.  We highly recommend you do this in advance of the registration date for your course.  Please see your counsellor if you need help.

 

Here’s an announcement from the Cambie Community Centre: Are you a Queer youth or Ally looking for a fun and supportive place to hangout with your friends? Maybe meet new people? Or do fun activities? Every Thursday from 3:30 – 5:30 at the Cambie Community Centre feel welcome to attend PAINT a free-drop in program aimed for you to build community with other queer youth and allies in Richmond!
