Attention all Grade 8 Students! Results for Student Council's Grade Representative Election are in. Your grade representative for the 2023/2024 school year is...........ALLY MADRID!!!  Thank you to all those who participated! Student Council meetings are every Tuesday at lunch, and everyone is encouraged to come! All your voices and insights count to make Cambie the best it Can be!

Hey Hey Hey, Cambie Art Club! It’s October and it is… spooky season! Grab yourself and your artsy homies TOMRROW PLT at room B121 to create spooky little scrunklies to desk the halls with Halloween Spirit!

 

Please be advised that Ms. Koo will be here Monday / Tuesday / Friday this week.

 

On October 25th attend the Masquerade Ball for only $10 bucks!! Doors open at 6:00 and the dance starts at 6 30PM. Tickets will be on sale in the rotunda at lunch until this Thursday the 19th. But don't wait up- With every purchase of a ticket you'll receive a FREE Masquerade Mask to wear at the dance. Tickets also come with pizza and a drink. We'll see you at the Masquerade Ball dance on October 25th at 6:00pm.

 

Are you looking to become a leader? Would you like to grow yourself as an individual in a short period of time, create a project to help your community, meet similar-minded individuals AND get volunteer hours for it? Well, look no further! Believe leadership Initiative will be hosting their first info session on Wednesday at lunch in Ms Paukov’s  room, D218. Learn core principles needed to become a leader, such as confidence, resilience, discipline and of course, leadership!

 

Choir Rehearsal will be on Wednesday at 3:00pm. All choir members please come to the music room to see Ms. Berman. Thank you!

 

Do you want to see your teacher dress up for Halloween this year? Grad Council has a special fundraiser this year where students vote for what certain teachers will wear for Halloween. We will also be selling goody bags, where you can write messages to your friends with additional candy or chocolate. Pre-orders for the goody bags and costume voting are happening every day this week during lunch in the rotunda. Orders are cash only.

 

Attention students interested in SFU!  SFU Faculty of Environment will be hosting an Environment Discovery Day on Mon Oct 20th.  Open to grades 10, 11 and 12 students.  Please visit SFU's faculty website for registration instructions.

 

Attention Students interested in UBC Engineering!  The Engineering faculty will be running a series of in-person and online workshops to help students' discovery engineering and if it's the right career for them. Visit UBC Faculty of Engineering Events website for more Information

 

Lights, Camera, Action!  Hey Cambie! It’s me Katie, the Stage Manager here! Are you an aspiring actor just waiting for an opportunity?!?! Or interested in what theatre is about? Don’t worry! As you know, each year there is a production! This years play is Anon(ymous) by Naomi Lizuka. You may have seen last year's play, Shakespeare’s mid summer night dream. This year, if you are interested in auditioning for a part in the cast or want to be a part of Cambie's Stage Crew, please head to the drama room door and sign up! No experience is necessary. Audition will be happening after school in the drama room from Oct 16-19 from 3:00-4:00pm. If you have any questions or concerns, please see Mr. Wolfman or me. Sign-ups will be located on the drama room door so make sure you don’t miss out!

 

Attention: Any students who ordered photos please come down to the office to pick them up at recess, lunch break or after school. Thank you!
