Student Notices - Apr. 4, 2023

We would like to begin by acknowledging and thanking the First Peoples of the Hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ language groups on whose traditional and unceded territories we teach, learn and live.

Attention all aspiring leaders! Do you want to make change at our school? If so, make sure you sign up for Student Council's Shadowing Program via Instagram, Tik Tok, or any of the QR codes posted around the school. This program is mandatory for all students who wish to become a student council executive next year. For more information, reach out to any current StuCo executive.

Hey Cambie, SHARE’s Ramadan food and cash drive is back! During Block D every Tuesday we will be collecting Monetary donations, and non-perishable food and drink from March 29th to April 19th in support of the BC Muslim Food Bank. Food is 2 points and Cash is 1 point per dollar. Ramadan Mubarak!!

Did you Know, the fourth pillar is Sawm (Siam). Sawm is the month-long fast Muslims do during Ramadan. Ṣawm can be invalidated by eating or drinking at the wrong time, but the lost day can be made up with an extra day of fasting, volunteering, or performing righteous works such as feeding the poor.

This is a message for all grade 11 Medical Science WEX students who have not completed their paperwork. Please sign up for a PLT or a meeting between now and April 14th with Ms. Wood. This is an opportunity to check in and hand in missing paperwork before marks cut off.

Congratulation to the Cambie Senior Badminton team who won their first match of the season defeating Hugh Boyd 7 to 4 in match play. A special shout out to the Junior Badminton team which saw numerous singles and doubles players win their first matches of the season!

Hello Cambie, the yearbook crew will be taking friendship photos Wednesday at lunch time! Bring your group of friends and visit Mr. Liu's room at A115 this Wednesday. You will need to come up with a creative name for your friend group. Coordinate a pose, clothing style, or bring any props and banners you like!

A big congratulations to MANEL AZOUN who competed at the Concours d'Art Oratoire French speaking contest last night. Manel has been selected to represent the Richmond School District at the PROVINCIAL competition in May. Félicitations, Manel!
