Hey Cambie! It’s day 8 of our 12 Days of Winter Wellness. Here’s your tip for the day: On Friday, we discussed the importance of getting the proper amount of sleep each night. It is just as important to ensure that your sleep is undisturbed. Consider putting your phone on do not disturb mode or keeping it in a separate room at night to avoid distractions. Attention Cambie students and staff! It’s that time of year again, our annual Winter Holiday Breakfast is coming up this Thursday! There will be an enormous supply of pancakes, so make sure to come by during PLT. Additionally, Door decorating contests are happening on the same day, so make sure your Block C class creates a fantastic door for a chance to win a pizza party!
Thank you to those who dressed up today for Music Monday! Tomorrow is Teacher Tuesday, so be sure to dress up as your favourite Cambie teacher! A huge congratulations to the grade 8 boys basketball team for finishing in second place at the Mariner’s classic tournament this weekend. They played with heart but lost to Kitsilano in their first game. They came out even stronger to beat EMS and Holy Cross, receiving amazing compliments from many. Congratulations to Damien, Jaimen and Athan for receiving ‘Player of the Game’. Iain and Aiden were also recognized for big boards and tough defense. Let’s send a huge Coyotes good luck to the grade 8 team as they are off to Richmond Christian today for their first league game.
Attention Table Tennis Team, there will be a practice today after school in the rotunda at 3. Please attend as we are going to be doing an interesting and exciting activity, hope to see you there!
Youth Taking Charge of the Cambie Community Centre is hosting a Winter Children's Drive until December 21st! You can donate New or Lightly used Clothing, Unwrapped Toys, or New Hygiene Products at their respective boxes underneath the Community Centre's Christmas tree near the entrance. All collections will go to Covenant House! Happy Holidays Cambie!
Hey Cambie! SHARE's Dreidel hunt Event is on now!! there will be a dreidel hidden somewhere around the school to celebrate Hannukkah, a Jewish celebration. Keep an eye out and search carefully for it! If you find the dreidel, take a selfie with it and message us on instagram @cambie_share to win a prize! Good luck!
Goooood morning Cambie! We’re in our final week to donate to the SOCK WARS campaign! With the crazy weather we’ve been having, can you imagine having wet feet all day or hands that never quite get warm at night?
