Student Notices - Dec. 15, 2022

We would like to begin by acknowledging and thanking the First Peoples of the Hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ language groups on whose traditional and unceded territories we teach, learn and live.

Hey Cambie! It’s day 11 of the twelve days of Winter Wellness. Set guidelines and expectations for technology use with others. For example, you might all agree to put your phone away when you come to the table for a family meal.

That was your tip for the day.

You can also come down to the library to check out the tips on the front window.

For more information, please visit www.heretohelp.ca.

Hey Cambie! Thank you to all students and staff for your participation today at our Winter Holiday Breakfast, and for those who dressed up for PJ Thursday! Don’t forget to dress up for Frosty Friday tomorrow by dressing up in your best festive wear! And as always, make sure to send your pictures to @cambie stuco on Instagram to be featured!

Hey Cambie! We have some great news for you - Cambie has its own newspaper! The Newspaper Club has been working together since September to create a newspaper to be rolled out every month and our first addition has arrived. Take a look in classrooms or in front of the office for the QR code. You can also follow us on instagram @cambienewspaper!

Ecosavers will serve free hot chocolate in the rotunda during lunch to those who bring a reusable container on “Frosty Friday”. We will also be turning down the temperature in our school to conserve energy as it reduces water and air pollution. Make sure to dress cozy tomorrow like a sweater or hoodie to Bundle Up!

Youth Taking Charge of the Cambie Community Centre is hosting a Winter Children's Drive until December 21st! You can donate New or Lightly used Clothing, Unwrapped Toys, or New Hygiene Products at their respective boxes underneath the Community Centre's Christmas tree near the entrance. All collections will go to Covenant House! Happy Holidays Cambie!

Good morning Cambie! We’re in our final few days to donate to the SOCK WARS campaign! With the crazy weather we’ve been having, can you imagine having wet feet all day or hands that never quite get warm at night? Our donations go directly to programs that help keep hands warm, and feet dry. Thank you for all your donations so far, let’s keep it up!
