Student Notices - Oct. 21, 2021

Hello Cambie! Get ready for our first ever MET Gala happening this Monday! The theme is formal so let's dress our best! Join us on the red carpet in the rotunda and watch our first-ever karaoke competition between three contestants. See you there Cambie!

Hey Cambie, today is the last day of Waste Reduction Week, Plastics Thursday! The economic value of plastic lost to waste in Canada is $8 billion yearly and expected to increase to more than $11 billion by 2030. Since the 1950s, 8.3 billion metric tonnes of plastic has been generated around the world and only 9% of those plastics have been recycled. When using single use plastic always remember your three R’s, reduce, reuse, and recycle. For more information, please visit WRWCanada.com. Thank you to those who wore green and blue today for waste reduction week. That wraps up plastics Thursday, but remember Cambie, reducing our waste is not something we should just do for a week, but whenever we can.
