Hey Cambie, today is day 2 of Waste Reduction Week! It’s Textiles Tuesday and we’re here to share more information about how our waste impacts the environment. Did you know the average person throws away 37 kilograms of textiles each year, 95% of which could be reused or recycled? That’s over 80 pounds of waste being put into our environment unnecessarily. Instead of throwing away your textiles, donate them to those in need, or hand them down to a sibling or friend! For more information, please visit WRWCanada.com. That was our waste reduction tip for Textiles Tuesday, brought to you by Ecosavers. Don’t forget to bring in your electronic waste any time this week to the blue box in the office, or brown box in your classroom! We’re taking light bulbs, broken batteries, DVDs, phones, cameras, electronic toothbrushes, and more.
