Youth Taking Charge and Cambie Community Centre’s Youth Council are hosting a Community Clean-up Challenge for Earth Day and Youth Week from April 22 - May 7. Posters are around the school and TVs have more information and the QR code to sign-up. You can help clean-up our community and also have a chance to win prizes such as gift cards and a set of AirPods.
As Earth day (April 22) is approaching, Cambie Eco-team is going to run a "Electronic Waste Collection" event this week to raise the awareness of reducing waste to the landfill by recycling electronic waste for metal parts. You will see a carton box in each classroom to hold any old/broken electronic items as small as batteries, light bulbs, cables to broken appliances like hair dryers or blenders. Any large items can be disposed in a labeled blue box in the office or to Ms. Yam's classroom (B230). We hope that everyone; students, teachers and staff can participate.
