Hey Cambie! It’s not Wellness Wednesday until tomorrow, but we wanted to let you know a bit about Wellness Wednesdays in advance and how you can contribute to them! Wellness Wednesdays are announcements brought to you by the Mental Health Promotion Club to promote wellbeing, increase understanding and awareness of mental health, and reduce stigma. Through Wellness Wednesdays and other periodic events, our goal is to share ways to take care of yourself and reduce life stressors.

All Students are invited to join the Mental Health Promotion Club and become Mental Health Ambassadors by visiting our table during Clubfest tomorrow and signing up! You are also invited to visit our table to share your voice about topics you want to learn more about, so be sure to come by!  Treats will be available for those who participate.

Hello Cambie! Next Thursday September 30th is National Truth and Reconciliation Day, a day to recognize the immense harm our country has and continues to inflict on indigenous peoples, and to commit to reconciliation. We ask that you wear an orange shirt on Wednesday September 29th to honour and remember those who were forced to attend residential schools, and vow to never allow this to happen again. Student Council is also hosting a clothing drive to donate to the indigenous communities of Richmond from now until October 1st. Please leave the clothing in the library window and sign off on the sheet. The individual with the most donations will win a prize. Thank you for your support, Cambie!

The Terry Fox run will be this Thursday during your 1st block, after PLT.  We are still collecting donations during your block B classes.  The class that donates the most will get a big prize!

A reminder to all students attending the hike this Thursday, there will be a meeting in the library today at lunch to go over what you will need to bring! See you then.

All grade 8 girls interested in playing volleyball there are tryouts today after-school in the gym. See Ms. Alblas if you have any questions.

Any girls in grade 8-12 interested in playing rugby on a school team this year, there is a sign-up sheet posted outside the PE office.
