Good morning Cambie. It’s Wellness Wednesday, and here is your announcement.
Sometimes you may not even realize that you might be bullying other people. If you’ve ever:
- Teased others, been mean to them, or made fun of the way they look or speak (and they seemed hurt or very quiet afterwards).
- Spread rumours or gossip (either online or by word of mouth).
- Kept another person from sitting with you, playing with you, or joining you in a group activity.
- Kicked, shoved, punched, or physically pushed someone else because you felt like it.
- Called someone names or “nicknames” they didn’t consent to.
This is why it's important to reflect on your daily actions as you never know that what you’re doing throughout your day can cause serious harm to others.
For more information, visit foundrybc.ca or see Ms. Wilding in the counselling centre.
This is a reminder to all Cambie students to hand in their quarter 2 textbooks to the library. There are still a few quarter 2 textbooks that have not been returned, especially math, biology, and English. Please return all Quarter 2 textbooks to the library as soon as possible.
Congratulations to the Cambie League of Legends Team for defeating McRoberts Secondary school this Sunday, sweeping through the opposing team 30-15! We wish them luck on their next game against Vancouver College this Wednesday! Best of luck summoners!
Hello everyone! Peace Club is hosting a glove/sock/hygiene drive until Monday, February 22nd. There will be three bins out in the rotunda for you to donate a pair of socks, gloves or some sort of hygiene produce like toothbrushes or paste. Any size items, mini or full size, are appreciated! Items donated need to be new, not used. All of the donations we collect will be going into care packages for the homeless or people struggling that need help within shelters. One donation can make a huge difference in someone’s life, so please bring your donations to the clearly labelled bins in the rotunda. Thank you, Cambie!
Attention grade 12 students. You have until the end of day tomorrow to get the video screen for your yearbook. The cost is $15. Please see Mr. Hofmann in room A115.
The Cambie Library is pleased to once again participate in the Richmond Reading Riot. The contest runs until April 30. It's easy to join! Read as many of the 9 titles as you can. After you finish each book, fill out a ballot in the library. Every Friday, a ballet is drawn and one participant wins a prize, so come and join in on the fun!
