Daily Health Declaration & K-12 Health Checker App

All students and staff continue to be required to complete a daily health check before coming to school or work. We are grateful that our students, staff and families have been taking this responsibility so seriously and know that it is absolutely helping to keep our schools safe.

  • All staff and students must undertake the following Daily Health Declaration Process. Parents will be responsible for undertaking this process for their children (age- and ability-dependent).
  • This process is a mandatory component of the health and safety protocols in place in the District.
  • We do not want to introduce any illness into our school community.
  • If ill, please call the school to report the excused absence (regular procedures) so we accurate records and know where your chiuld is.  This is also a chance to ask our office staff any questions that you may have about next steps (24-hours and monitor, or contact your health care provider, etc.).

The Ministry of Education has worked with Public Health and the BCCDC to create a daily health check website and mobile app (K-12 health checker app) for students and their families to complete before heading to school in the morning. The website and app will contain the most up-to-date BC health guideline information.

The design of the app was developed in collaboration with BC students to create an age-appropriate user-experience. It will allow for students and their parents to make the best decisions on whether to attend school, not to attend school, or take other measures based on the information they provide.

The health check application is available online as a mobile enabled website, an iPhone application and a Google Android application.
