Hey Cambie students! Come and participate in Cambie's Reading Riot: Richmond's Teen Readers' Choice Award for 2019-2020. It's easy to join!  Just register in the library.  There are 9 books in total.  Read and rate as many as you can by April 30th.  Every Friday, a ballet is drawn and one participant wins a prize, so come and join in on the fun! 

Attention Grade 9 students: NAV CANADA’s Explore Aviation Summer Camp is taking place in Cornwall, Ontario, this summer from Aug. 9-14 for young women, and from August 16-21 for young men. NAV CANADA has opened enrollment and is seeking applications from teens entering Grade 10 in September. This one week, all-expenses-paid camp uses hands-on learning to explore exciting career choices in aviation to allow participants to experience the power and potential of a science education, and to be empowered to reach for success. Forty-eight participants will be selected from across Canada by a NAV CANADA committee. Applicants must submit an essay of 350 to 500 words explaining why they want to attend Explore Aviation Summer CampThe deadline to apply is March 8. Please contact your counsellor for more details.

Are you in the mood for Time Travel?  Well, you can't travel back to last week's 'snow day', but you can take a trip back to the 1960's with the Cambie Art Department!  The "Swinging Sixties" showcase will be open until Friday...drop by B Wing for a fully legal psychedelic experience!

A reminder to grade 12 students that SFU's application deadline for Fall 2020 is Jan 31!

If you are a grade 11 or 12 student who is interested in the District Trades 'paid work' Exploration Program, a reminder that applications are due by Thursday January 30! Choose to work alongside Richmond School District carpenters, joiners, plumbers, electricians, and H-VAC technicians! KPU will be hosting their Richmond Campus Discovery Day on Monday Jan 27 - a Richmond Pro D! See posters and Career Centre website for details. Students from all grades are welcome. There will be free pizza and prizes at the event. REGISTRATION IS REQUESTED!
