Attention Cambie volunteers:  Service Hour Forms are now available in the office.  In order to be recognized for service at our Awards night, you must submit this completed form to the office by April 18th.

 

Hey Cambie students!  Come and participate in Cambie's Reading Riot: Richmond's Teen Readers' Choice Award for 2018-2019.  The contest is now into its final month, but it's never too late to join!  Just register in the library.  There are 8 books in total.  Read and rate as many as you can by April 30th.  At the end of April, secondary teacher-librarians across Richmond will tally up the votes and declare one book to be a district-wide winner.  Every Friday, a ballet is drawn and one participant wins a prize, so come and join in on the fun! 

 

Ukelele Club will meet today in the music room at lunch.  See you there!

 

There will be a meeting for We For She tomorrow at lunch in Ms. Faryon’s room.

 

If you are a CCC helper and want to be in the Core Planning Committee for the Grade 7 Cambie tour on May 1st, please attend a meeting tomorrow during Collaboration time.  We are only accepting 5 students and it will be on a first come, first serve basis.

 

This is a reminder that Unity Club will be meeting tomorrow at lunch in Ms. Tan’s classroom, A121.

 

Are you currently in grade 10, 11 or 12 and interested in exploring a career in the trades?  The deadline has been extended into May, so be sure to submit your Youth Train in Trades applications as soon as possible.  These post-secondary trade programs, offer dual credits for high school and university, and your program tuition is paid.  Applications are available on the School District 38 Career Programs website and in the counselling area!

 

A reminder to those students who have signed up to take Health Science 12  next year, there will be a brief meeting tomorrow at 9:00am (the last 25 minutes of Collab Time) in room D215. 

 

Donut, donut, donuts!  Help your Cambie Concert Band get to the Kiwanis Music Festival next month!  Bring your sweet tooth and $1.50 to the rotunda today at lunch for maple, chocolate or a good old fashioned glazed donut! 

 

The University of Toronto will be in Vancouver for an information session for prospective students this Saturday, April 13th.

 

The University of Alberta will be in Vancouver for an information night on April 17th.

 

Cambie Youth Clinic is a free and confidential health clinic for youth. It is open today and every Tuesday from 2-4 pm at the East Richmond Community hall. You may drop in or make an appointment to see a nurse, doctor or counsellor.
