Student Notices - Apr. 8, 2019

Hey Cambie students!  Come and participate in Cambie's Reading Riot: Richmond's Teen Readers' Choice Award for 2018-2019.  The contest is now into its final month, but it's never too late to join!  Just register in the library.  There are 8 books in total.  Read and rate as many as you can by April 30th.  At the end of April, secondary teacher-librarians across Richmond will tally up the votes and declare one book to be a district-wide winner.  Every Friday, a ballet is drawn and one participant wins a prize, so come and join in on the fun!

If you are a CCC helper and want to be in the Core Planning Committee for the Grade 7 Cambie tour on May 1st, please attend a meeting this Wednesday during Collaboration time.  We are only accepting 5 students and it will be on a first come, first serve basis.  Contact your counsellor before Monday if interested.

Are you currently in grade 10, 11 or 12 and interested in exploring a career in the trades?  The deadline has been extended into May, so be sure to submit your Youth Train in Trades applications as soon as possible.  These post-secondary trade programs, offer dual credits for high school and university, and your program tuition is paid.  Applications are available on the School District 38 Career Programs website and in the counselling area!
