  1. A big congratulations to the grade 8 boys volleyball team who won their first ever tournament at Burnaby North this weekend.  It was a full team effort and the team showed a lot of perseverance and hard work.

  2. The Cambie Reading Riot continues to be strong, and is running until the end of April. It's never too late to join!  Just register with Mrs. Kos or Ms. Cho in the library.  Students who participate are eligible for weekly prizes which are drawn every Friday. Let's keep reading, Cambie!

  3. Attention all grads: The school-based and McEwen scholarship applications continues to be open until Friday.  Please be sure to apply so that you are eligible to receive a scholarship or bursary.  For anything related to scholarships, please see Mr. Nashlund.

  4. All Track Athletes.... There will be practice tomorrow after school 3-4:15pm.  See Mrs. Curtis in the PE Office.  If weather holds we'd like to get our throwers outside.  Please be prompt after school.  Wednesday our practice is at Minoru Track 3:15-4:45pm. Would like to get our runners and jumpers out to practice starts and proper techniques. Please let Mrs. Curtis know if you are going -- she will bring throwing implements only if you let her know you will be there.

  5. Attention all students who are interested in applying for a Cambie Service Award: Please come to the office and pickup a blue service hours sheet.  Please fill in and submit your sheet to the main office by Friday, April 20th.

  6. SFU is currently seeking students aged 15 and above to volunteer for several of their Summer Day Camps occurring throughout July and August.  Students are able to choose from a variety of camps including but not limited to; Basketball, soccer, biology, chemistry, glee, dance and outdoor adventure. Volunteers hours acquired this summer can be applied towards high school graduation, post – secondary applications, scholarships... If interested, please contact your counsellor.  Applications are due no later than 11:59 on April 29th.
