  1. Attention all students: Introducing, for the second year in a row: Reading Riot: Richmond's Teen Readers' Choice Award for 2018.  Cambie library is excited to once again participate in Reading Riot, where all Cambie students are invited to read up to 8 books, and then rate each one out of 5 stars.  Cambie Reading Riot has started, and will run until the end of April!  It's easy to join!  Just register with Mrs. Kos or Ms. Cho in the library.  There are 8 books in total.Read and rate at least 5 by April 30th.  At that time, teacher-librarians across Richmond will tally up the votes and declare one book to be a district-wide winner.  Students who participate will be eligible for weekly prizes, which will be drawn every Friday.  Come and join in on the fun.  You can also visit our library website.

     

  2. Attention all Cambie students. This is a friendly reminder that all books checked out prior to winter break are now overdue.  Please either return or renew all your books as soon as possible.  Thank you.

     

  3. Lost and found - If you have lost an iPhone before Christmas Break, please report to the office.

     

  4. A message for all GGG members, there is a meeting today at in Mrs. Curtis’ room!

     

  5. There is a debate club meeting Friday at lunch in Ms. Dosanjh’s room.

     

  6. Are you in grade 11 or 12 and curious about exploring a skilled trade? The Richmond School District is inviting students to apply to the STEP program to work for an entire week with the Richmond School District carpenters, plumbers, electricians, landscapers or H-VAC technicians!  If you like Information Technology and computers, you may be interested in H-VAC.  See the posters, and for details, visit the Career Programs District Website and see Ms. Millar if you have any questions.  Application forms are also available in the counseling area. Deadline to apply FEB 7!

     

  7. A reminder that the UBC deadline to apply is JAN 15 - but do not leave submitting your application until the last minute!

     

  8. Grade 12 students, be sure to check your post-secondary and email accounts often for instructions and updates. See Ms. Millar if you have any questions or are unsure of post-secondary or career plans.
